Candied Holiday Grapes

Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 10 minutes
Wait for grapes to dry 1 hour
Total Time 15 minutes

Course: Appetizer

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of Holiday grapes
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1/3 cup of cane sugar
  • 1 cup of sugar

Instructions:

  1. Prepare a baking tray with a cooling rack on top for the grapes.
  2. Wash off the Holiday grapes and set them aside.
  3. Add the water and ⅓ cup of cane sugar to a small saucepan.
  4. Cook over medium heat until the sugar dissolves stirring occasionally.
  5. Once the sugar has dissolved remove from heat and add the grapes. Make sure the grapes get coated in the sugar mixture.
  6. Let them sit in the sugar mixture for 5 minutes.
  7. Remove and place on the cooling rack for 45 minutes to an hour.
  8. You want the sugar mixture to drip off and to be slightly tacky so the sugar sticks a bit better.
  9. Once the grapes are a bit tacky roll them in the cup of sugar and place them on your cheeseboard.
